Dua Lipa is an English singer-songwriter was born in London, on the 22nd of August 1995. Dua Lipa signed to Warner Bros Records in 2014 following her work as a model and launched her self-titled debut album in 2017. It peaked at number three at the U.K. Albums Chart and released eight singles including Be the One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. Number One track New Rules which peaked at 6th within the United States. Lipa won the Brit Awards in the year 2018 for British Female Solo Artist as well as British Breakthrough Act and her album has been certified as platinum across the globe in a variety of countries. Dua Lipa was born at the age of 18 in London with Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin Lilipa (father). Through her maternal grandmother, she is of Bosnian ancestry. Also, her ancestors come from Peja, which is a Kosovo town Peja. Two of Lipa's grandfathers were historians. They have a brother Gjin Lipa, and a younger sister Rina. Lipa's musical influences came from her father, who is the guitarist and singer of Kosovan The rock band Oda.
