Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is a American as well as a Canadian singer-songwriter. Her albums span over 20 years. DiFranco describes her music as folk-rock or alternative, but it also contains influences such as punk, hip-hop, and jazz. Ani diFranco was the first artist to establish her own record label in 1990. Ani is widely considered to be a feminist icon. DiFranco was born on September 23, 1970 in Buffalo, New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who was introduced to Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father was of Italian heritage and her mother was born in Montreal. Ani DiFranco composed and sang 32 Flavors. The track is available on the album Not a Pretty Girl by Ani diFranco. It was released in 1996. The song is featured on the film's soundtrack the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate from 1999. DiFranco apologised in 2013 when it was announced that she was planning to hold the three-day workshop on an Louisiana slave plantation. It was postponed however, some (including the media) didn't consider it a gesture of regret. DiFranco apologized for her mistake a couple of days afterwards. Although known for her role as Little Peoplesinger, she's worked with many musicians and artists from Pete Seeger through Chuck D until Prince. Her home is New Orleans. Ani DiFranco is married to Kristen Ford. Within 14 months, Ani DiFranco began writing her own songs. She continued to perform them in bar and cafes in her teens. DiFranco attended Buffalo State College after graduating at 16 from Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts. Her new baritone is custom-built by Alvarez, made by Chrys Johnston, who at the time worked as an Alvarez Artist Rep. This guitar is built out of solid wood with the top being made of cedar and the sides. It also has the System 600 Preamp.
