Coleman was born in Lancashire, and born in Blackpool. She attended Arnold School Blackpool as head girl. She scored the highest marks in her A-level exams. In response to questions about her Emmerdale role, she said she regretted having not had a traditional university experience. Coleman was at the high school system, was part of a theatre group called In Yer Space. They staged the play Crystal Clear for the Edinburgh Festival. Her performance was well-received by the audience, and the show received favorable reviews. While auditioning for drama school, Coleman landed the part as Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. Coleman received two awards in 2007. In 2007 Coleman was nominated for two awards, the British Soap Awards as the Best Newcomer, and the National Television Awards as the Most Popular. In 2009, she received nominations in two categories: Best Actress-Sexiest Female and Best Performance Dramatic. Coleman has been nominated as Best Actress by the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on March 21, 2012 that Coleman was going to play Matt Smith as the Doctor's companion after Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and others left the show. Moffat stated that he picked Coleman for the role of companion because she would work best with Smith. Also, Moffat noted that she spoke faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she's been involved in television and film projects. Her work has been much more prominent on TV than in films. Eva's TV roles on Dr. Maria Santos, in All My Children, and Detective Natalia Boa Vista in CSI Miami are notable. The character of the character Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children landed the actress 2 Daytime Emmy nominations. This provided her with the opportunity to showcase her music creativity. Eva is not only an actress, she is an entrepreneur and philanthropist. She is a thrice-married woman and has a daughter with her second partner.
