Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actress, activist for animals and writer who was awarded numerous awards. She has been acclaimed by films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) and The Getaway, (1972). She was raised by an artistic family from New York and wanted to explore a career in the artistic fields. In the beginning she was employed as an assistant in photography. Later on she shifted her focus towards modeling and directing. The first two films she appeared in she received recognition and was awarded her the Golden Globe Award as Most promising young actress. Her film MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was one of the biggest hits that gained the world to her, as well an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. With just three movies, she became the top female box office actress across the globe. The handprints of her signature, as well as footprints were engraved in 1972 at Grauman's Chinese Theater. The actress has appeared in a variety of different films, such as The Getaway Convoy Players and television miniseries The Winds of War among many others. Moving Pictures is her autobiography, published in 1991. MacGraw is divorced three times.
